Hi there, I'm Devin, the lawyer-turned-creator behind the worlds biggest law-related channel, LegalEagle. As a big-firm trial lawyer with over a decade of experience in copyright, I used my knowledge and skills to help my clients navigate an uncountable number of copyright related issues. I've represented plaintiffs and defendants, and I've won millions for my clients. I've even litigated cutting-edge copyright issues in front of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (an appeal we won, btw).
But it wasn't until I became a creator myself, that I realized how copyright affects all creators. As a creator who relies on Fair Use, I've seen first hand how arbitrary the online content system can be. In the process, I've taken on the major movie studios and music labels . . . and I've won. From the frustration of those experiences, I've gained a front row seat to what all creators go through, and I've created a whole system for dealing with them along the way.
